The “Herbert A. Simon” Social Research Seminar is an academic space to investigate on the rational processes that affect both collective and individual human behavior. Our work is inspired by the thought and the work of Herbert A. Simon and his colleagues and disciples - like Newell, Minsky, March, Cohen and Olsen, among others. Also, the seminar is a place of intellectual reflection where participants can develop and share new ideas and models on the Rationality and its uses in the Social Theory.

The seminar is based on the active learning strategy, this is, where participants must look for, by their own means, the information and knowledge in a reciprocal collaboration climate. The primary goal of the seminar is to introduce to the participants in the methods and problems of scientific research.
